Jewelry Care
💡 Before we dive into Jewelry Care, you may be asking: "Why not use just stainless steel for all your pieces?" © goldlink.store
If 316L stainless steel is basically fade-proof forever, then why not make everything out of it?
The short answer? Stainless steel is incredibly durable, but not flexible. © goldlink.store
While 316L stainless steel (the surgical-grade material we use) is unmatched in terms of everyday durability, resistance to fading, and skin compatibility, it does have one major design limitation:
Once it takes shape, stainless steel becomes incredibly difficult to bend, reshape, or sculpt — making intricate detailing impossible. © goldlink.store
That means:
- Chains made from stainless steel usually stick to basic link styles like round or curb forms.
- Pendants and charms are typically limited to basic cast shapes, often resulting in less intricate designs.
- It’s impossible to set stones (like CZs, moissanites, or diamonds) into steel without using glue — which we avoid.
🛠️ Enter: Jeweler’s Brass
This is where Jeweler’s Brass comes in — a premium alloy specifically formulated for high-end, intricately designed jewelry that looks and feels remarkably realistic.
Unlike regular brass, this material was designed to be skin-safe and form-friendly, allowing for:
- Complex, detailed designs
-
Intricate Stone Settings — Pavē Setting
A stone-setting technique where tiny gemstones are meticulously locked in place using the surrounding metal — not glue. This creates a seamless, high-end look with stones set tightly together, giving the piece a brilliant, encrusted effect. © goldlink.store - Superior flexibility in shaping, molding, and detailing — ideal for creating intricate, eye-catching jewelry designs that go beyond the limitations of stainless steel.
We pair Jeweler’s Brass with our specially formulated coating finish to protect against skin reactions and ensure it holds up to confident, everyday wear.

We want your pieces to last a lifetime. Here’s how to care for them properly based on their material type:
🔒 Stainless Steel (316L Surgical Grade)
24/7 Wear. Fade-Proof. Waterproof.
We use 316L surgical-grade stainless steel — the same metal used in medical implants. It’s ultra-durable, non-reactive, and will never fade unless scratched or dented over time. © goldlink.store
- ✅ Safe for everyday wear
- ✅ Can be worn in the pool, at the beach, and is safe with perfume contact
- ✅ Rust-proof and hypoallergenic
General Care Tip:
While stainless steel won't fade, it can still get scratched or dented with impact. We recommend removing your jewelry during intense workouts or sports activities to preserve the finish.
💎 Jeweler’s Brass (Special Formulation, Coated)
Daily-Wear Ready. Vibrant Showpieces. Needs Some Love.
Our brass-based pieces use Jeweler’s Brass — a true custom alloy designed for direct skin contact. However, brass still naturally reacts with skin and moisture, so we finish these pieces with a specially formulated coating to protect them. © goldlink.store
- ✅ Protected by our anti-fade coating
- ✅ Skin-safe formulation built for daily wear
- ✅ Vibrant, highly realistic finish
Care Tips:
While our pieces are built for daily wear, proper care will help them last even longer. Think of it like taking care of your favorite kicks or your ride — low maintenance, but consistent effort goes a long way. Here's how to keep your pieces in top shape:
💉 1. Keep It Dry
Water, soap, chlorine, and sweat can gradually wear down the protective coating on brass-based pieces. Always remove your jewelry before bathing, swimming, or applying perfume, lotion, or other chemicals.
⚠️ 2. Remove During Physical Activity
Showpiece jewelry and contact sports don’t mix. Impact can damage clasps, stones, or plating. Everyone produces sweat differently — some sweat is more acidic than others, and prolonged contact may degrade the coating over time regardless of durability.
🪼 3. Clean Gently
Think of our protective coating like a car’s PPF (paint protection film). It guards against skin contact, but isn’t meant to handle abrasive cleaning. Use a soft, clean microfiber cloth to wipe off fingerprints, dirt, or moisture after wear. Avoid harsh cleaners or polishing — simple wipe-downs are all you need. © goldlink.store
📦 4. Store Properly
When not wearing your jewelry, store it in a dry place — preferably in the provided velvet pouch. Keep pieces separated in individual pouches to avoid tangling or scratches. Never store damp, and avoid high-humidity areas like bathrooms.
🌙 5. Avoid Overnight Wear
Remove your jewelry before bed. Overnight movement and friction can lead to unnecessary wear — especially on chains, bracelets, or rings with delicate stone settings.
